Are you closed during the holiday period?
Preludio closes from 25 December each year until 6 January. However, it is possible to place orders, which will be processed immediately upon reopening. In summer our e-shop is closed for holidays from 6 to 28 August. Orders placed during this period will be processed after the end of August. Scores and sheet music in PDF format, on the other hand, can always be purchased by downloading the file automatically after the purchase process.
How to buy on Preludiomusic?
It's very simple: once you have chosen the products you wish to purchase, simply add them to your basket by clicking on the appropriate icon. The purchase process will ask you to register on the portal. The data you leave will be used only for purposes related to the completion of the transaction, as well as for the shipment of the items. Payment is made via PayPal/Stripe or Bank Transfer: you can therefore pay by recharging your PayPal account via bank transfer or by linking it to any credit or prepaid card. Bank details are managed by PayPal and Stripe in total security, through protected connections thanks to SSL (Secure Socket Layer) systems.
If I register, will my privacy be respected?
I would like to give away an article from the shop, is that possible?
Certainly! Add the chosen product to your shopping cart and proceed with the purchase; in the "data confirmation" check that the information entered is correct and scroll down the window. You can specify whether the purchase is a gift by clicking in the appropriate box. Enter the recipient's details and the shipping address. You can also add a card with a personalised message, which will be attached to the chosen item. In the shipping notes you can specify, for example, if you would like a special gift box or card, depending on the circumstances.
I have received a damaged CD in the post, what should I do?
Call us on 02/89052776 to let us know about the problem and we will give you instructions on how to proceed with the replacement, after which we will resend a new copy free of charge as soon as possible.
How much does it cost to ship products?
We chose to ship by Courier.
Priority mail is not traceable and theft often occurs.
The costs indicated below will be added to the cost of the products automatically from the electronic shopping cart.
Payment by cash on delivery is subject to an additional charge of € 4.00.
The download of PDF files is free of charge.

When will the ordered products be shipped?
As soon as we receive confirmation of the transaction from Stripe or PayPal. Shipments are made in working days in any case.
Can I indicate times for receiving my order?
Unfortunately, this is not possible. Whether you ship with the Italian Post Office or through a courier service, it is not possible to indicate specific delivery times. Generally, the goods are delivered on the same day, during office hours.
Do you ship internationally?
Yes, at a flat rate of 12€. For orders over 45€ the flat rate is reduced to 8€.
Is it possible to buy sheet music or scores in PDF format?
At Preludiomusic you can choose between the paper or PDF format. Only for some titles we have chosen not to offer both formats.
The purchase of a PDF is in fact a LICENCE for strictly personal use. You can print as many copies as you wish, but please do not send the file by email and do not photocopy it for others. To support creativity, those who really love music know that you should buy and not photocopy.
If you have lost the pdf file, you can request it from us again. Each new edition of the same work will be sent to you free of charge. In the event of public performances, we remind you that it is important to include the title and the name of the composer in the SIAE programmes. The correct indication, as well as not sending the file by email and not photocopying it for others, is to protect the work of composers, composers and publishers. Downloading PDF files is free of charge (in the sense that there are no postage costs).
Why am I required to buy a 'minimum number of copies'?
For Choral or Vocal Group scores, a minimum number of copies must be purchased. This number can vary from 5 to 9 for vocal groups and from 12 upwards for choirs.
It is taken for granted that a choir or vocal group should purchase a score for each member.

Is the PDF download immediate?
With the new platform, yes. You no longer have to wait for our offices to reopen. You can download it immediately after the purchase process by clicking on the product link in your account screen and it will automatically be downloaded to your desk. You can also download it from the order confirmation email you will receive.
Do I need a password to open the file?
No, the password is no longer required. It is understood that the purchase of the PDF is in fact a licence for strictly personal use, according to which you are obliged not to send the file to others. You may make as many printed copies as you like, within the limits of the user licence.
What kind of payments do you accept?
Any credit or prepaid card, via Stripe or PayPal. Alternatively you can make a bank transfer.
Stripe is a 'payment processor'. An innovative system that makes online money transactions safer and easier. Developed thanks to a specific tool to verify the payment flows and pay securely with high anti-fraud systems.
With PayPal, you can shop around the world free of charge and securely with either a credit card (Visa, Visa Electron, MasterCard) or a prepaid card (such as Postepay, Vodafone Cash Card, Kalibra, Carta Aura and others), without sharing your financial information with the person receiving the payment.
It is also possible to open a PayPal account without a credit card: just choose the "top up account" option and make a transfer from your current account. Opening a PayPal account is a simple operation that can be done in a minute and that will be very useful, not only for Preludiomusic, but also for shopping on the web.
I don't have a credit card, how can I make my payment?
The best thing is to continue the transaction by choosing the PayPal option and opening a PayPal account, a free operation that takes just a minute: by choosing the new "recharge account" option, it will be possible to make a transfer from your current account. By recharging your PayPal account you can make purchases throughout the web in a simple, fast and secure way.
Alternatively, you can ask for delivery by cash on delivery, for which you need to add 4€ for shipping costs. Finally, we accept payment by bank transfer or postal order. In the latter cases, by selecting the corresponding option among the payment choices, you will get the coordinates.
Payments by postal order are not accepted.
Is it safe to pay by credit card via the Internet?
Before making an Internet purchase, it is advisable to always check two conditions:
- first, who the seller is;
- the second is what security it provides for the transaction.
For the first condition, it is important to check that the website on which you are buying clearly shows some of the seller's sensitive data, such as a telephone number, the address of the registered office, the VAT number. If you have any doubts, a phone call can always reassure you that a reference structure really exists.
For the second condition, it is important that the transaction, and thus the transfer of sensitive data, takes place in a protected and secure server.

How do I register my prepaid card with PayPal?
Open a PayPal account, free of charge.
Associate your prepaid card by entering the data in the form:
-during the opening of the account;
-or when you make your first purchase or when it is most convenient for you; just click on the Credit Cards link in the Financial Information column of your Profile.
I would like to return a product, how do I do it?
Call us on 02/89052776 to let us know what the problem is or why you wish to return the product. In the event of postal damage we will give you instructions on how to proceed with the replacement, after which we will resend a new copy free of charge as soon as possible. Whatever else is needed, we will take the problem to heart and do everything we can to resolve it.
Can I avoid the electronic shopping cart for cumulative purchases?
Send us an email with the products you wish to purchase and we will reply with the total cost. Upon confirmation we will send you a request for payment via PayPal.
