Paolo Cattaneo

Paolo Cattaneo (Tradate, 1953), a graduate in Architecture, DAMS (address of music) and Pedagogy, is a musicologist, composer, scholar of music pedagogy and music therapy, guitarist jazz, lecturer in language-music and music therapy.

In his many years of activity as an adjunct professor of Music Pedagogy, Music Semiotics, Rehabilitation Techniques at the University of Milan, Musicology at the IULM University - 1st level Master in Music Publishing and Production, he has oriented his didactic approach towards an interdisciplinary dialectic, aimed at considering the musical experience in its phenomenological complexity.

Didactic Director of the Helvetic Music Institute (HMI) in Bellinzona (CH), Higher Institute for Continuing Education in Pedagogy/Music and Music Therapy and teacher of Music Therapy Techniques in the Activation Specialist Course at the Centro Professionale Sociosanitario (CPS) in Lugano (CH). 

Accredited Professor of Jazz and Pop Guitar, Jazz and Pop Music Theory, Pedagogy at the Kalaidos University of Applied Sciences - Fachhochschule Departement Musik in Zurich.

In addition to his composing activity, he is the author of educational and music therapy texts.
