Danilo Lorenzini graduated in piano and composition from the Conservatory G. Verdi with Antonio Ballista and Bruno Bettinelli. He taught principal piano at the Civica Scuola di Musica in Milan and was professor of composition at the Conservatory in the same city.
Active as a concert performer, composer and teacher, he has been a guest of some of the most prestigious musical institutions in Italy and abroad: the Teatro alla Scala, the Piccola Scala, the Pomeriggi Musicali, the Conservatorio, the Piccolo Teatro and the Società del Giardino in Milan, the RAI in Turin, the Teatro La Fenice in Venice, the Teatro Donizetti in Bergamo, the Autunno musicale in Como, the Festival dei Due Mondi in Spoleto and Charleston, the Accademia di Santa Cecilia in Rome, the Festival of the International Society of Contemporary Music in Bonn, the Teatro della Pergola in Florence, the Italian '92 in Buenos Aires, Cordoba and Mar del Plata, the Festival Europe 1993 in Camerino, Prague, Budapest, Mantua and Milan, the 45th Berliner Festwochenthe 21st Congress Theatre of Nations in Seoul (Korea), the Theatre de Vidy in Lausanne and the Landesbuhnen Sachsen in Dresden.
Particularly active in the field of music for theatre, he collaborates regularly with the famous puppet company Carlo Colla and Sons as composer, pianist, conductor and music director. He has also made television and radio recordings and recordings. His interests have brought him into professional contact with several prominent figures from the world of extra-classical music and cabaret such as Franco Battiato, Giorgio Gaber, Gino Negri, Rosalina Neri and Franco Nebbia. He is the author of symphonic, chamber and vocal music and two operas: Four by five (1970) e Playboy (2009).
