Vincenzo Silvestris

Vincenzo Silvestris was born in Gioia del Colle (Bari) in 1970. He studied at the 'N. Piccinni' Conservatory in Bari, graduating in 1991 with top marks. At the age of thirteen he made his debut playing Mozart's concerto K.107 with the Bari Chamber Orchestra conducted by Maestro E. Mariani. Mariani. He was awarded in several national competitions. He then gave numerous concerts both as a soloist and in chamber music ensembles. He studied with Emanuele Arciuli and Paolo Bordoni. He has attended master classes held by P. Bordoni, L. Ceci, S. Fiorentino, J. Hobson, B. Petrushansky, A. Lucchesini, E. Arciuli. At the Accademia Musicale Pescarese he obtained the Diploma in Piano Teaching with Piotr Lachert and the Diploma of Advanced Studies in Piano with Paolo Bordoni. He held concert-lessons in the project "Laboratorio - Itinerari d'ascolto Creativo e Ricreativo", organised by the Association "Daniele Lobefaro" in collaboration with the Teatro Kismet OperA. He has performed with the Chamber Orchestra of Tirana and the guitarist Marcos Vinicius. He is a member of the "New Classical Group", a group of musicians with experience in various musical genres. In 2001 the live recording of the concert "O graziosa luna, io mi rammento" was published on CD, with the title of "O graziosa luna...", organised by the Municipality of Gioia del Colle, Department of Culture and Youth Policies, in collaboration with the Archaeological Superintendence of Apulia.
