She graduated and specialised in opera singing at 'Kyungwon' University in South Korea. After moving to Italy, she obtained a diploma in opera singing at the Conservatorio "G. Verdi" in Milan. In 2016, she completed a two-year course in Renaissance and Baroque singing at the Conservatorio 'G. Cantelli' in Novara, with distinction and special mention, under the guidance of Maestro Balconi. She attended further specialist courses: in Urbino with Maestro Alessandrini, in Paris with soprano Mellon, in Rome with Maestro Zanasi.
She sang the roles of Messenger and Hope in theOrpheus by Monteverdi, an opera also staged at the Duomo in Milan, under the baton of Maestro Balconi. She was Dido in Dido and Aeneas by Purcell. He played the role of Ruggiero in theAlcina by Händel with the Orchestra of the Accademia Musicale dell'Annunciata, conducted by Maestro Doni, with whom he also sang Amor Terreno from the oratorio Magdalene at the feet of Christ of Caldara. He sang in the choir, with the Orchestra del Regio di Torino conducted by Maestro Noseda, in Le Rossignol by Stravinsky, for the 55th Stresa International Festival. He collaborates with the Ghislieri Choir & Consort with concerts in Italy in Pavia (Teatro Franceschini), Rome (Concerti del Quirinale) and abroad: in France in Lyon, Metz and Rouen, in Malta for "La Valletta International Baroque Festival", in Amsterdam (Het Concertgebouw). He participated in the 'Verbier Festival' with Oberwalliser Vokalensemble for Symphony No. 2 by Mahler under the baton of Maestro Luisi, at the 'Zermatt Festival' for Heiligmesse by Haydn under the baton of Maestro Koopman and at the 'Sion Festival' for Magnificat by Bach, conducted by Maestro Kämpfen.
Hyun Jung Oh is also highly regarded in the field of sacred music. She has performed as a soloist in Magnificat by Bach and in the Gloria by Vivaldi at the Cathedral of Monreale (Palermo) with the Orchestra Sinfonica Siciliana, conducted by Maestro Berrini, with whom he also sang as soloist in the Membra Jesu Nostri by Buxtehude in Cagliari and in the Mass by Requiem by Mozart in Rome. She has been a soloist in numerous other works including Petite Messe Solennelle by Rossini, conducted by Maestro Mazza, theOratorio de Noël by Saint-Saëns, the Mass BWV 235 in G minor of Bach, Beatus vir RV 598 e Magnificat by Vivaldi, Stabat Mater, Salve Regina e Confitebor tibi Domine by Pergolesi and Stabat Mater by Haydn. With the Caecilia Consort conducted by Maestro Negri, he participated in the 'Novecento' season in Milan, a programme dedicated to 20th century and contemporary Italian music.
Since 2015, he has been the titular cantor of the Cappella Musicale della Basilica di Santa Maria Maggiore in Bergamo, conducted by Maestro Gentilini. She regularly forms the duo Eisenrose with pianist Enzo Sartori. Her chamber music activity has led her to perform with unanimous critical acclaim at the "Monferrato Classic Festival", at "I concerti del Cantelli" in Novara, at the "LX Settembre Musicale di San Giulio" at Villa Tallone on Lake Orta, at Spazio89 in Milan and in other Italian cities (Cremona, Mantua, Moneglia, Modena, Craveggia, Arona, Domodossola...). He recorded a track for the travelling exhibition on Georgia, commissioned by the famous archaeologists Buccellati, for the Rimini Meeting in 2016.
