Michele Fontana

After graduating from the Conservatory of Music in Verona in Pianoforte with Prof. Reale and in Organ Composition with Prof. Forni, he obtained a Specialist Degree in Piano with full marks and honours with pianist Edoardo Strabbioli at the Conservatory of Mantua. He attended masterclasses with L. Ghielmi, F. Cera, G. Parodi, G. Bovet, L. Lohmann, V. Balzani, P. N. Masi, A. Dindo. He collaborates with the violin class at the "Incontri del Maestro" Academy in Imola. He has won numerous prizes including 2nd prize at the 'Acerbi' International Piano Competition in Mantua, 2nd prize at the International Music Tournament (TIM), 3rd prize at the 'Andrea Antico da Montona' International Competition, and 1st prize at the 'Vacchelli' National Chamber Music Competition in Piadena. He has performed as soloist at important festivals including the International Chamber Music Festival in Mantua, Teatro Salieri in Legnago, Teatro Asioli in Correggio, Teatro Bibiena in Mantua, Sala Michelangeli at the Conservatory of Bolzano, Palazzo Ducale in Mantua. He holds a degree in Mechanical Engineering from the University of Modena.
