Lorenzo Di Vora

Born in 1973, he began studying classical guitar at an early age, later moving on to acoustic and electric, with in-depth study of jazz and advanced techniques.
Since 2009, he has dedicated himself completely to the study of composition with Mauro Montalbetti, Rossano Pinelli and Antonio Giacometti.
He attended composition masterclasses with Carlo Boccadoro, Fabrizio De Rossi Re and Giorgio Colombo Taccani.

His compositional output is characterised by a particular interest in harmonic colours, which emphasises a distinct aptitude for drawing on the jazz world.

Several awards and prizes received since 2010, including third prize at the international composition competition Assisi Suono Sacro 2012, selection from the call for scores of the review Risuonanze 2014 and 2016, exhibition of the score at the international exhibition "Musica con vista" in Lucca, linked to the International Prize for Non-conventional Music Score Writing 2016, selection from the call for scores of the Florida International Toy Piano Festival 2017, second prize at the 19th European Music Competition 2017 in Moncalieri, selection from the call for scores of Achrome Ensemble 2018, selection from the call for scores of 21st Century Guitar 2020 and 2021.

Since 2012, he has received several commissions and his works are performed both in Italy and abroad.
