Giampiero Castagna

Giampiero Castagna was born in Turin in 1961.

He graduated in Composition and Choral Music at the Conservatory of Turin, studying with M.° Gilberto Bosco.

In the field of chamber music and symphony, he has been awarded prizes in several national and international composition competitions, including the Bucchi of Romethe competition Mozart '91 in Vienna, the exhibition of theATEM Briccialdi of Terni, the Competitions "Beyond the Vanguard of Turin and "Antonio Bacchelli'. of Livorno.

His works have been performed in Italy and abroad.

In recent years he has dedicated himself in particular to choral music, obtaining prizes and awards (Canary Islands, Valle d'Aosta, Cori del Trentino, "Di Cori un altro Po" 2017, Arcova 2019, "Corinfesta" 2019, Varese Virtual Choir 2020, Concurso Amadeus - Spain 2020).

He is currently a teacher, conducts choral groups and collaborates with chamber and vocal ensembles.
