Duo De Luca Silvestri

The De Luca - Silvestri duo was formed in 2011 with the intention of tackling, alongside the formation's national repertoire, transversal paths such as the varied world of contemporary music, the repertoire of popular music and jazz. The duo has performed in prestigious Italian venues, including at the 19th 'International Saxophone Festival' in Fermo, a unique event of its kind. Giovanni De Luca, saxophonist, graduated with top marks from the Conservatorio 'Stanislao Giacomantonio' in Cosenza, his hometown. Winner of numerous national and international competitions, he alternates his concert activities with teaching activities as a teacher in state schools. Francesco Silvestri, pianist. He was born in Vibo Valentia and attended the Conservatories of Vibo Valentia, Rome, Brescia and Reggio Calabria achieving top marks. He has won numerous chamber music competitions and performed in most of Europe.
