Corrado Neri<\/strong>, a young piano and composition talent, arranger and songwriter, after years of international live experience, has recorded his work for the first time. eclecticism<\/strong> and its energy<\/strong> disruptive.<\/p>\n

Neri's classical training, combined with a continuous search for a fusion between ancient and modern, is fully expressed in the 10 tracks of his debut album, MUSIC IN A BOX?<\/em><\/strong>recorded at the Garibaldi Theatre of Avola<\/strong> (Syracuse), his home town, and published on the label Prelude<\/strong>.<\/p>\n

Corrado Neri tells us: \u201cDa anni cercavo il momento giusto e la forma corretta per racchiudere in un mio primo disco le multiple faces<\/strong> of my activity as a composer and pianist-songwriter. Mirroring Neri's enthralling and virtuosic live performances as a pianist and singer are the covers he has arranged of The alarm clock<\/em><\/strong>, Pizzica<\/em><\/strong> e Old frack<\/em><\/strong> of Domenico Modugno, openly declaring his love for this artist.<\/p>\n

These are complemented by some original pieces such as the brilliant waltz<\/em> by Shining Waltz<\/em><\/strong>the rondo<\/em> by Song for Redemption<\/em><\/strong> e l\u2019ironica Old Bach<\/em><\/strong>, un\u2019immaginaria versione di Old frack<\/em> of the 18th-century composer.<\/p>\n

A fare da traino all\u2019album \u2013 insieme al\u00a0videoclip<\/strong> \u2013 \u00e8 il brano che apre il disco,\u00a0Etnea<\/em><\/strong>, ispirato alla lunga permanenza di Neri sull\u2019Etna. Qui il pianoforte dialoga col tamburo del percussionista Alfio Antico <\/strong>(among the greatest interpreters of FRAME DRUM<\/strong>), to recreate the exchange between the constant pace of the traveller and the unpredictable rhythm of the volcano's breath, on which the voice of a young artist is grafted, asking to be volcanic again, to generate artistic magma and to be able to express it again.<\/p>\n

Unica eccezione all\u2019uso del pianoforte, protagonista di tutti brani, \u00e8 un\u2019affascinante rilettura dell\u2019aria di C\u2019era una volta nel West<\/em><\/strong> di Morricone, che qui si fonde con l\u2019Air on the fourth string <\/em><\/strong>di Bach, eseguita da Neri su un organo siciliano di inizio \u2018800, in cui la voce della soprano Federica Contarino<\/strong> trasporta l\u2019ascoltatore in un elsewhere<\/em> indefinite.<\/p>\n
