Mezzotono

The first album by Bari-based vocal quintet MEZZOTONO. Preludiomusic publishes previews of the eight tracks. A true a cappella record without too many technical artifices: excellent voices, beautiful ideas as well as the arrangements. The version of Tu vuò fa' l'americano in Antonio Eros Negri's arrangement for Alti & Bassi (from the album Il Mito Americano) is impressive, but revised and corrected by Mezzotono with brilliant gimmicks, such as the concluding rap, and original phoneme choices. A group, that of Mezzotono, capable of entertaining with beautiful harmonies and the simplicity of their five voices.
