Alberto Massidda's new album, released on 2 February 2018 and available in all digital stores. "Le mie stagioni colorate" (Preludio) is the debut album by Alberto Massidda, Cagliari-born and Milanese by adoption: 9 original and unreleased songs, each with a dominant colour that distinguishes it from the others. They are almost naturally inspired by his musical world of reference, which is not limited to the Italian panorama (where related artists such as Pino Daniele, Fabio Concato or Sergio Caputo stand out), but to the broader territory of music from overseas, both that of the States and South America, which the author has long frequented. 'All You Got to Do' is the single, of which a nice video clip was also made and published on YouTube. A fresh and catchy song that opens the album with lightness and irony. A not inconsiderable aspect of Massidda's work are the lyrics, which deal with the theme of feelings, avoiding 'the obvious' like the plague and managing to give 'colour' and variety to the succession of the various tracks. In 'Sickness', for example, they talk about male immaturity and fragility. In 'Son tornato', an unfortunate early return home is recounted. And in 'Maria Rosa', an improbable honeymoon in horror sauce is even alluded to. Massidda produced the album with the active contribution of some musician friends: Emanuele Cisi, jazz saxophonist, Antonio Galbiati, multi-instrumentalist, Roberto Deidda, electric guitar, Loredana Casula, vocals. Last but not least, Emanuele Esposti, keyboard player and arranger. At the mixing desk, Marti Jane Robertson (Steely Dan, David Sanborn, Don Grolnick, Michael Franks, Paolo Fresu, PFM, Ivano Fossati, Eros Ramazzotti). "The sound is uniform, pleasant but not easy listening, where consistency and the assertion of a personal style prevail" (Paolo Crespi, Buscadero). The single 'ALL YOU GOT TO DO' has been in radio rotation since 2 February 2018. The album, released on the PRELUDIO label and editions, is available digitally in the main online stores and on CD in a limited edition at www.preludiomusic.com.
