The first album by Vocal Boutique. They are six girls from Piossasco (TO), six voices, six different colours. But coming together in an interesting new project. Since 2006, Michela, Francesca, Silvia, Alice, Elena and Selma have formed the VOCAL BOUTIQUE, an all-female a cappella vocal group. After organising the Correvoce festival for years, they finally offer the general public and a cappella music lovers their first album entitled ILLOGICA. Thanks to the skilful vocal arrangements of Alberto Schirò (Alti & Bassi), Andrea Rapaggi and Erik Bosio (Cluster), the latter of whom also did the recording and post-production, the Vocal Boutiques range between very different songs, through their personal tastes without necessarily seeking a logical trait d'union. Thus we find South American music (Besame Mucho, Aquarela Do Brasil and an amusing Cacao Meravigliao, the opening track of Arborian memory, and therefore Italian, but inspired by that world) alongside international hits such as Blame it on the boogie or Can't get you out of my head and Respect. Illogica, Corri Lento and Cassiopea, which demonstrate the courage of the six performers and their desire to present 'something new', beyond the clichés linked to a cappella music and which always see it as a genre enfranchised only by covers.
