The songs reveal strong feelings of patriotism, the suffering of the fighting, but also more intimate feelings such as being away from family and loved ones. On the occasion of the centenary, the Sintagma vocal group has created a record entitled "100", which follows the theme of the Great War.

When we talk about the Great War, and war in general, images of fighting, weapons, soldiers and trenches come to mind. This is normal, but war is not only this. Many times we do not stop to think that behind the soldier we imagine there is a man, with all his being, his experience, his feelings, his melancholy. The songs of the First World War give voice to those emotions that are often overlooked by the common imagination. Through singing, strong feelings of patriotism and the suffering of the fighting emerge, but also more intimate feelings such as being away from family and loved ones. To mark the centenary of the Great War, the Sintagma vocal group has created a record entitled "100", which follows the theme of the Great War. The album features some songs that are considered milestones, such as "La battaglia di Gorizia", "La leggenda del Piave" or "Sul cappello", as well as new songs written by contemporary authors, all reinterpreted and adapted a cappella for the group. The album was recorded in early 2015 in the Teatro de la Sena in Feltre (BL) and it was in this beautiful setting that it was officially presented with a show-concert on 31/05/2015.
