Cosimo Bombardieri

He graduated in clarinet with top marks of 10/10 and completed the two-year specialisation course in interpretation-composition with a score of 100/100 at the Conservatory of Reggio Calabria. He specialised with the masters Vincenzo Mariozzi, Stefano Novelli, Giuseppe Porgo and Luca Lucchetta (historical clarinet). He came second with a score of 98/100 at the Benintende National Competition cat. Soloists. He studied Instrumentation and Band Conducting with Angelo De Paola at the Conservatory of Cosenza where he graduated with top marks 110/110. He specialised with masters of international calibre such as: Thomas Franschillo, Lino Blanchod and Francisco Grau Vegara. He has recovered and re-adapted music from the period of the French Revolution, with first performances with the Italian Army Band under his direction. He studied conducting with Francesco Lanzillotta, Simone Ori (Mozart repertoire), Stasys Domarkas and David Crescenzi (assistant). He studied composition with Pier Alberto Cattaneo at the Conservatory of Bergamo and attended master classes with Girolamo Deraco and Vito Palumbo. He has performed extensively in concerts both in Italy and abroad as a soloist in chamber music ensembles, first part of an orchestra, as a conductor with a repertoire ranging from the 18th century to the present day and as a composer. He has collaborated with ensembles: 'Calliope' Quartet, Klaipeda State Music Theatre, Cilea Clarinet Choir, Pazzano Wind Orchestra, Palanga Town Orchestra, 'Sersale' Youth Orchestra, Stylus Orchestra, Benevento Philharmonic, Accademia Isolana, Italian Army Band. His piece Minue was the winner of the Achrome International Call For Scores 2018 competition, with jury president Davide Anzaghi. He alternates his concert activity with teaching; he was invited to the University of Kaunas and Klaipeda (LT), he gave a lecture-concert at the Palanga Town orchestra.
